i might be wrong but if its the same as mine
then the only way to tidy up your rear end is to ether chop/cut down the original mudguard bit that holds the plate or get a whole new under tray because i think the stock one has the plastic part to hold the plate incorporated into it.
I just cut my one down and moved my plate up.
this is what it turns out like

Before you spend money on pointless aesthetics there is 3 things you need to buy and fit:
1: Renthal Bars
2: Good Rubber for your bike that would be:
Bridgestone BT-021's
Dunlop Roadsmarts
Pirelli Diablo's
Michelin Pilot Road 2's
3: Braided Steel Brake Lines
Nice bike enjoy ____________________ [Current Bikes - GSXR-750 K5 & C90-97 ] [Previous Bikes: Runner 125, YBR 125, GS500, Bandit 600, Hornet 600, ZX6R-99, C90-99, R1-99, XT600E-04, GSXR-750 K4, CRF250L '16] |

hiya mate, theres no need for a tail tidy. (if your still after one)
if you unbolt the plastic mud guard thing, there should be a metal frame behind it. you can either bolt your plate onto this as it works basically as a tail tidy its self or do as i have done and remove that and bolt your plate to the little black piece behind that. ...
https://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo314/dazmilliken/Photo126.jpg
i just got a 2" by 7" piece of metal, bent it perfectly in half and drilled 4 holes and ended up with a home made tail tidy, that cant even be seen...

no need for cutting |

lol those pics were the beginning of summer, ive improved them now

i have black renthals lol
| DazHornet wrote: | how does the under tray fit to the bike??
and how did you put the lights in? did you have to buy them seperate? |
to fit the undertray, its a case of removing the whole backend, starting with the original undertray and rear light. then you remove the back fairing. you then have the two parts - old undertray, and rear fairing. then attach the new undertray to the fairing and refit it all. you will also need a piece of metal bar to attach to undertray for indicators and numberplate.
the lights were put into the undertray before that whole process, i bought them through a mate who gets a lot of bike bits wholesale. you can get them from most bike accessories websites, they are universal fittings. although i did have to file the undertray holes for them a little for a perfect fit (like i said, universal, as long as they will fit lol)
if you go to https://www.jesterstrickbits.co.uk/acatalog/Honda-CB600-Hornet-1997-2002.html he sells the undertray complete with shotgun lights, pricey though.
any other questions just let me know ____________________ Yamaha RXS 100 > Honda CD 250 > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda CBR 600RR > Yamaha RXS 100 > Kawasaki ZX6R J2 > Yamaha FZ1 |
