Welcome! Everyone of these topics I read just makes me want to do my test so badly it's not fair. I don't suppose BCF has started handing out money yet?
Congratulations on passing, I imagine it's a fantastic feeling. ____________________ will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston? |

Congrats with the pass mate, and welcome to the forum
I'm planning on doing my mod 1 and 2 next year in March/April time, and for months now i've been looking at the Bandit
Seen a few at garages for sale, been looking on eBay and in BikeTrader, some real bargains out there.
I'm definitely getting a Bandit 600 when i have the money, preferably before i pass (if i find a bargain) so you couldn't tell me what it's been like can you? They feel great to sit on, nice and comfy, but performance wise, what is it like?
I actually prefer the 1997 - 2000 Bandits, what year is yours?
Be good to hear from you mate, all the best |

Thanks for the warm welcome
I have a 2001 on a Y plate, i found a bike that I couldnt refuse! They did change around 200 I think.
Well im 6ft2 and 16 stone and find the bike very comfy, Performance wise, its hard to say as I can only compare to the test bikes. But I have had some very fast cars and had access to my dads XKR so I can compare it to those! I would say for a beginner it has to much power, not in a bad way but its defiantly a bike that you will grow into, i'm sure I would of got bored of something like a CB500 very quickly. I have been no where near the limit of the bike and it is still quicker than most things on the road. The weather is getting worse so im riding very slow, I did give it a little bit in second gear the second day I had it but changed at 8k and this is still below peak power, i probably used 25% of the throttle. I can only sum this up as s*it your pants quick, excellent first bike in my opinion.
My friend who has been riding for two years, rode it and summed it up as a very good first bike and cant knock it! |
