Had one. Loved it at the time as it was my first bike (in the same way that anything is great if you've known nothing else).

Looking back now, I can't dispute that it was quite torquey - but the power delivery is ridiculously boring. Doesn't really appear to have a 'powerband' as such. It's same regardless of where you are in the rev range. Revving the nuts of it or short shifting seems to generally have the same effect Confused

Suspension on mine was also woeful. Although to be fair it had 15k on it when I bought it so might have benefited from fresh fork oil.

I'm sure it's great as a commuter though - which IMHO is all it is. Thumbs Up

Fully agree, but small twins have alot of character not many IL4's offer.

Shame the SV isnt more performance orientated.

I wouldn't spend that much on an SV, but I would buy an older one for a lot less and fettle the suspension.

TBH im not a lover of V-twins at all.

Indeed. 3 grand for an SV seems a bit much.

Was riding along embankment today heading through the tunnel towards wetsminster, SV rider appeared behind me, then along side me as we went though the speed camera before the tunnel. We both gunned it , and lets just say that by the end of the tunnel he wishes he had a ZX6R woop woop Thumbs Up

PS. While it not be as fast, he had an aftermarket can on and it did sound very nice...
