Stuck on what tyres to buy its all abit complicated and expensive, I currently got a power on the back and pilot on the front, just noticed, and they are both worn out . Are pilots still grippy enough ?

Do you want tyres with mega grip and a shorter life or do you want tyres with adequate grip for the road which have a longer life span?

If it is the former then get the Pilot Powers, if it is the latter get the Pilot Road 2's. Thumbs Up

Pilot road 2s will be fine for the road. With tyres it's worth being brutally honest about your ability and useage of them.

Are you a track god that does very limited road miles, and loads of trackdays? Get supercorsas.

Are you a fast road rider that does a handful of trackdays? Get Corsa IIIs or Pilot Power 2CTs

Are you a normal road rider/may do your first trackday? Get Pilot Road 2s

Are you a commuter/tourer? Get Pilot Roads 2s

Road 2s are dual compound, Pilot Roads are single compound.

Road 2s are also the more modern version of the Roads.

That said £205 sounds rather steep.

Oh, I don't know. When I was pricing up tyres for my R6 in early September the cheapest I could find Pilot Roads 2's fitted for was around £225. Are you sure that it isn't the £159 for the old Pilot Roads is quite cheap that is making the Pilot Road 2's sound dear? I would have the Pilot Road 2's, I wouldn't bother with the single compound Pilot Road.

That said when I was deliberating about my tyres I ended up buying Pilot Powers, but I was off on a trip to the Nurburgring and I wanted grip on the Ring rather than durability overall.

if you can get tyres to Watling tyres..not sure if you have one around, but they pop em on for a tenner each. just take your loose wheels down.

Failing that might have a shop around you with decent guys who will just pop em on...but watling tyres is where i go Thumbs Up
