Hiya,

I have held my bike licence for 9 years now. I passed my CBT and got given a wee Honda VT500 instead of an easter egg, which i couldnt ride till i done my DAS couple of month later.

The VT was standard so i done some modifications to it, raptor nose fairing, sebling can which im sure is an american can, recovered seat with custom seat and sprayed it orange, i loved my V Twin, sold my 2 horses and bought myself a 600 bandit. Then sold the VT for double what i had paid for it.

Some newly qualified car driver kindly wrote the bandit off for me as well as trying to write me off into the bargain, i bought the K1 bandit, tempted to change it, but the comfy seat i cant part with.

I enjoy going to rallies when my health and shift pattern allows it, I attend the Ulster Grand Prix every year and every few year i head off for the IOM TT i just love meeting fellow bikers and having a good laugh and a good old p*** up.

The other half wrote my bandit off a couple of year ago, i bought it back from the insurance company as Cat D write off, change the bars, mirrors, half fairing, cowling, new headlight bracket and engine casing and got it back on the road. Basically only cosmetic damage.

I havent been out much on the bike in the past year or so due suffering a broken ankle and having metal work inserted in my ankle, then a further operation to remove it, Now im back on my feet i plan to do a lot more with the bike again.

Thats pretty much says everything about me and my motorbike, looking forward to meeting fellow bikers.

BB9

Theres a picci of it on "My First Bike" thread.

I'd love to do (watch) the IOM at some point. I'm just too lazy sadly enough.

Nice to see another Scottish Member on. Sign up to the Scottish section of this site and get yourself along to a meet.

You've got to do the TT, its brilliant, expensive mind you cause they double the prices for accomodation but there is the camp site or home stays if your not into leaving your stuff in your tent.

Atmosphere is fantastic and its good crack, whatever anyone tells you about you gotta try bushy beer, i wouldnt advise its vile lol.

Im in Renfrewshire, i have applied for Scottish site, though i think im still awaiting approval.
