Today's choice is the genius that thought stippling Artex on a ceiling was great. After two days of sanding and filling, I'm finally ready to start painting the kitchen/diner.

Who is your target du jour?

Hi

Hope you were careful. Older Artex contains asbestos (think it originally stood for something like Asbestos Reinforced Texture).

Horrible stuff.

All the best

Keith

I had a nice man come in and plaster my kitchen ceiling instead - could not be ar$ed to sand it! Rolling Eyes

Ceiling is now a few millimeters lower but as I'm 5'2" it's really not a concern for me! Mr. Green

The cowboys who laid our tarmac drive.
What a shambles. Rolling Eyes I was so sick of bringing it all in the house on the bottom of my shoes that i got the missus to sweep it to get rid of the loose bits.
By the time she`d finnished she`d swept it ALL up coz none of it was stuck down underneath. Rolling Eyes

As Keith said - Artex can contain asbestos. Best to plaster over it.

Other than the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation?

Todays target for my displeasure is the stock control administrator at Halfords.

They are doing a special offer on tool cabinets. I picked one out on their website. After work today I looked it up again and checked the availability at my local store before heading off to buy it to avoid wasting a journey. Showing in stock, so I got in my van and drove the 20 miles to the store, a journey that takes the best part of an hour due to 30 limits and heavy traffic..

I bet you can see where this is going.

There were none in stock and haven't been for ages. Got home, checked website, still showing as in stock.

Not happy!
