Can anybody tell me which mobile phone network has the best coverage in the Lake District?
3 & Orange have no coverage in certain areas on the way to Ulverston & around Windermere, are there any networks which have better coverage ie less blackspots?

I have t-mobile and have been let down in some areas with a weak signal. When I broke down in Scotland I had no signal but the guy who picked me up was on Vodaphone and he had a very good signal. O2 has a fair signal too.

Fuck it, if you're up in the Lakes, take the time to detach from normality and don't let the outside world bother you.
Last time i climbed Helvelyn (from Glenriding, via hole-in-the-wall & striding edge), a mate who was with us insisted on bringing his phone and talking bullshit sales-talk all the way up.
He very nearly took an impromptu and involuntary dip in Red Tarn, as we'd had enough of hearing about 'blue-sky paradigm thinking' and what verticals needed addressing.

When I am out on the bike, phone is not used. It is not for me, but my partner, when he is working he likes to phone me, but keeps losing signal - he is on orange network.
