Changing tobacco can cause coughs and sore throats. Plus foreign smokes are stronger.

Are they genuine smokes?

My dad has been a 40 a day Bensons man since before i can remember and he was saying some from abroad are like US tobacco and to look for a certain maker on the pack, Gallaher i think it is .

Think the Gallaher ones are the UK spec ones , and the others are the American produced ones and rough as hell, my brother who has roll ups 40 times a day or so coughs constantly if he has a pack of Mayfair so makes a difference.

Do you think smoking may be bad for you?
It could be that the correct Carbon-Monoxide level for you is 0%.

You can shush. If the Govt don't get tax from the coffin nail suckers then they will probably load VED and petrol, again.

Back to the OP, maybe you need to be smoking more to plough through this blip. Thumbs Up

It's to do with the way the tobacco is dried, I was told it's to do with US/EU tobacco being baked but UK tobacco was dried differently leaving it with more moisture and a bit smoother to smoke.

I always used to get a nasty cough from imported cigarettes too. Mind you, Benson Gold are pretty strong anyway.

Thumbs Up
