Booked my 3 day intensive course about 6 weeks ago.

This week was the earliest they had. Crying or Very sad

Cost me £560. Shocked

27th Oct - Full day training

28th Oct - Half day training + Mod 1

30th Oct - Half day training + Mod 2

Got my car theory test on the 29th too.

Got my big bike waiting in the garage for me. Wink

Kinda nervous now, even though ive been riding a geared bike for a year.

Best of luck to you, try and enjoy it! Make sure you get some decent breaks, when I did a few whole days of training with very few breaks it reached a point where my brain just refused to take any more in and I started riding like an idiot, forgetting everything I just learnt Laughing

Day 1 -

Wow, long day, been riding since 9am to 4pm with one break.

Absolutely pouring with rain all day, soaked to the bone.

70mph roads , 60mph roads, 50's, 40's and 30's.

Some nice country roads. In town. Off road monuvere practice.

Did over 100 miles today. Shocked

Bike is a 2004 YBR125.

Good fun, Mod 1 tomorrow!

Ahhhhhh takes me back to my intensive training - 2 days (1 full and 2nd half + test). It's fun being around like minded folks and enjoying the camaraderie that develops as you all lead up to your tests. After riding that much for the day I'm sure you feel very 'at one' with the bike. Thumbs Up

The other guy who is doing the training with me, asked the legnth of time you would have to wait if you failed the mod 2 and needed to re-book it.

"I've got four Mod 2 tests free for the rest of the year with six people wanting them."

"No pressure then." Laughing

Wow, that is quite an intensive course! I opted for 3 full days worth of training, with the module one and two on different days after.

Lol no pressure then! But thats the annoying part about failing module 2, its a 10 working day wait Confused

Best of luck with your tests!

I tried booking an intensive course, the only times I could get mod 1 and mod 2 were the week before Christmas.

Best of luck today, let us know how it goes!

Day 2 - Module 1

Went out and practiced for Mod 2, oddly enough.

After that, we practiced for the high speed avoidance, controlled stop and slow speed control.
All was well so we went and chilled out in a bike shop for an hour or two before the test.
Took a gentle ride to the test centre.

The other guy is first. Stalls once but otherwise good. Passed.

Im up next. Everything going good, did the controlled stop. Examiner goes over to check the speed for the high speed avoidance.
49kph. (needs to be 50kph)
Im allowed one more go. Get on the gas earlier. Cane the YBR to the top of 2nd gear. Go through the speed trap at 54kph.

PASS! Mr. Green

Afterwards, the other guy goes home (supposed to go out again after Mod 1.) Neutral

Me and the instucter go for a blast. Dual carigeway then onto the coast road. Nice, sunny day. Cool

Was more of a full throttle hoon (NSL) hoon than a lesson, on a YBR. Cool

Twas fun, did 80 miles.

Roll on Mod 2..

Ps. Bike is 2007 ('57), not 2004 as above.

The two people doing their DAS course were also doing Mod 1 today.

They both failed for going too slow in the high speed avoidance.

They have had 2 and a half days practice and are on 2009 Yamaha XJ6 Diversions. Laughing

One of them was all like

"Its too hard!!1one"

The other instucter said

"How can two kids on 125's, with one less day practice can do it well and you cant?"

Kids? Im only 17 but the other guy is 30 ish. Shocked

Day 3 - Module 2

Got to the school and got kitted up. Little spin around the yard and out to the roads.
Went on some more country roads to "blow out the cobwebs." Into Tesco for breakfast then we hit the town.
Lots of city riding. Making sure all observations were okay etc. Twas about 11am so we went to Honda Two Wheels in Edinburgh for a bit. After that, we made our way to the test centre.

The other guy is up first again. While he is away, me and the instructer go out for a little run. All is well.

2pm. Shocked

Im up. Examiner gives me a radio, asks me two show me, tell me questions, and we are off.
Out onto the roads, 70mph's, 50's, 40's, 30's and even 20's.
We are out for what seems like about 20 minutes until we pull up black to the test centre.

He takes me inside the building and sits me down. Writes on his little sheet and says:

Im pleased to tell you...

Im smiling but realise there is a very small chance he might say "...my wife is not a crackhead."

But he did say:

"...you've passed!"

Oh yes, I passed.

4 minors, 2 of which I dont agree with, but I dont really care, because.. I PASSED!! Very Happy

Id like to thank Steve my instructer, my mum, my dad, BCF, etc etc.

Ps. I also passed my car theory test yesterday.
