Priority is a helmet that is comfortable and fits properly. THEN worry about the price and looks. ____________________ Previous: 2002 Honda CB500 (sold), 2007 Suzuki SV650SK6 (crashed), 2005 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer (sold). Currently bikeless

Have a look here.
Sharp Helmet Safety Scheme
Some think the tests are bollocks others swear by it. But it is a good start.
But as said a three star that fits perfectly is going to protect you better than a five star that doesn't. ____________________ ZX6R C6F.

just make sure it fits
Try not to go over budget if you have one.
For example i wanted a decent looking helmet for a reasonable price so I stuck with a brand i knew and went from there.
I bought a matt black Shark S500 air for £99 which i thought was reasonable.

Fit and comfort is the overriding factor as they will passively promote safety by increasing concentration levels. Try as much as you can and see what fits best. All ECE 2205 lids pass a minimum level of safety so on that front, they're safe. Sod sharp or anything like that since your head will make the right choice after you've test fitted. Everything else, build quality, brand, graphics etc will be a secondary factor after fit... It just happens to be the case that the most comfortable lid I tried on was my arai! ____________________ The Tot 2019 Z1000SX - 2007 R1
