Right I need some ideas here as I just can't think anymore Laughing. Basically i work Monday-Thursdays, 17:00-20:30 in an office just doing data entry. The jobs easy enough and i don't dislike it or hate it at all, it's 14 hours a week and i get roughly £350 a month.

Now the problem is that in the day i'm starting to get ridiculously bored, i'm only 18 and live at home with no rent to pay or anything so all my money is disposable. I want another job for in the day, even if it's only 3 hours or so just for some extra money and to kill boredom.

Anyone have any ideas? Obviously there is retail but none of them seem to have any vacancies and i'm at a loss at where to try?

Cheers, Jack

Lollipop person. we employ them here and it's increasingly being done by young people rather than crustly old codgers. Mind you, most of the applicants seem to have one or two degrees these days.

First off, have you been to your local job centre? My job at Starbucks, then the tech job I got after that were both from the Reading one.

After that, go around all the stores personally (dressed 'smart casual', no obvious bike gear) and ask if they have any vacancies. If nothing else, it's something to do in the day Smile.

+1, all the jobs available at the job centre are on the website :-

And every single person that is on JSA goes on it so the chances of getting a job through it is very slim.

But not every single person is after just a few hours during the day to kill boredom.

Fish4Jobs...they send you email alerts daily. Why not register with some of the temp agencies, you can give them the days/times you are available, and might come up with something for you.

It might help if you list your skills, then maybe we could give you a list of jobs to try for.

Some retail shops might have shift work available.

But if people really wanted jobs they'd apply for those as well as full time jobs.
