well i took it out with carol nash last year, managed to bin my 125 being an arse int he rain and scratched my gear up alittle. and they seem to cover it so made a claim tonight. any one ver had cover / had to claim , just wondering how it goes and what tehy ask etc and how they decide to pay out

Thats all i needed to claim on my insurance. Just receipts. They didnt even ask for photos of the damage and the insurance assessor didnt want to see them when he came to see the bike.

When i claimed for some gear on someone elses policy, i didnt have the original reciepts.

Just went to the local bike dealer that did clothing, and got them to print out a headed invoice for 'similar' replacement gear.

This was accepted by their insurers

ahh thats good then cos i dont have receipts for my gear o.O

all i know my rukka legs where £360 ish new and my psyke jacket cost me £239 4 years ago . my lid was just a cheap £99 thing. ive got a mate who works in mandp so aby i could get him to overvalue my lid??

When I had to claim for my damaged kit I did not have a receipt and they just took my word over the phone! Surprised

I took helmet and leather cover out seperately last year, and you need the receipts to claim. The policy I had said they'd give 100% of the price for gear less than a year old. 50% for less than 2 years. 25% for more than 2 years.

This made me think it was worthless really once your gear is old.
