My mum just bought herself a replacement mobile at Tescos, and wants to use her existing 02 sim card. Unfortunately she's now just realised that the phone is locked to Tesco Mobile Network....Doh!

The phone is a Samsung C3050.

Is there any way to unlock the phone, either by entering a code based on the IMEI, or flashing it, or whatever?

Links/guides much appreciated as I've not done this before.

Find a small independent mobile phone shop who can unlock for a tenner, that's what I do.

1 - download C3050_Unlock_IMEI_USTPRO2.rar
2 - extract C3050_Unlock_IMEI_USTPRO2.rar (C3050_XXIA8.scry)
3 - select correct BAUDRATE 460800 or 921000
4 - flash your phone with C3050_XXIA8.scry
5 - after flashing OK , ulock your phone using Read Code / Direct Unlock .

market is your safest bet

the internet guides do work as i unlocked my phone using one of the guides but it was a bit of a pain in the arse to do
