Totally agree ^^^ For £50 quid I would just fix it up and make it a project. I'm jealous.

The easiest money is to buy it and stick it on ebay as is. Secondhand stator can be had for reasonable money on ebay.

Depends what's actually wrong with it. If it's an electrical failure then I doubt there's anything you could do. If the plate itself was cracked or some such, then yes, it could be bodged, most likely.

Have you tried to start it? Does it spark?

How much its worth depends on a lot of things. It's surely better to keep it and ride it than sell it on immediately.

Stator plate is required to start. It is what tells it when to spark and not sure about the dt but some make the spark on the stator plate.

For you best bet is buy a stator plate off ebay, run it and make sure its ok and whack on ebay or sell to person above.

Depends how much you want for it Razz

£50 is a bargain. I once had use of a DT50, and thought it was great fun. I wouldn't break it, keep it and tart it up a bit.
