I don't think he'd we the winning bidder, i think it means he put in a bid of £10 and it automatically declined it because somebody else has already bid it. it would have then asked him to bid £10.25 or whatever.

Surely it is supposed to be that i have the item won at 3.20, and only bids over my highest of 10 should be registered ... ? Thumbs Down

It's proxy bidding, its perfectly legit, it's how ebay and auctions work...

You bid £10 I'm guessing but no one else had bid so it registers at £3.00... your max is £10 but its currently at £3...

Someone else come along and bid £10.. this boosted your proxy to £10 and as they only bid the same as you, you keep the winning bid status... if they bid £10.50 they'd now be winning bidder...

I think if you bid more than £10 max it should have gone to something like £10.50.. altho I may be wrong and it still may stick to £10 until someone else bids higher..

either way theres nowt dodgy going on

Well i recall it stating bid over ten, so my dodgy thinking was the seller getting someone to proxy bid to boost the total as someone would or should of bid over ten ... Thumbs Up

They could well be proxy bidding it up.. but someone can still bid less or equal to your high bid innocently. It's hard to tell, can be quite annoying, theres still a day or so left to go so bids will more than likely always go up.

Erm. Laughing

I guess you mean 10.06, not 10.00.
