Can anyone help me out with a seat height query regarding the bonneville (meriden),T140 ? After a lifetimes,or half of it at least, riding,i'm feeling the time is right to realise a boyhood dream of owning a T140,however at 6ft 3in and 16 stone and not knowing anyone who will loan me one for a few hours,i'm wondering how well its going to 'fit' me. Picky,i know!
Anyone out there of similar build who can alay my worries ? Advice would be appreciated.

In general British bikes are lower than modern machinary.
The old Bonny is just a tad shorter than the Hinkley bikes.

I'm 6'5" and have done a fair few miles on a '67 Trophy, It is basically the same bike as the Bonnie, it is a fairly comfortable bike the seat is low but so are the pegs and the bars are high. TBH comfort will be the last thing you should be worring about when buying an old British bike!

Funny thing...
Just got back from the pub and I met a bloke that ownes 11 Triumphs. He was 6 foot 1 ( and a misserable cu*t) and said he fits well on a Bonny although he said the oil in frame models are slightly higher that the earlier bikes.

Bloody ferret just bit my ear so the spelling may be crap!

I'm 6'1" and 16st, had an oil in frame bonnie for a couple of years and found it perfectly comfortable. Didn't do mammoth mileage on it, but for the trips I did it was just fine.
