 |
|
Anyone used MH Racing, in Wiltshire? There website is here; https://www.mhracing.com/index.htm
(Google says it's an "attack site" although AVG isn't showing anything malicious there at all, and never had any trouble looking at their website in the past).
I'm thinking of having my suspension serviced, although I'm not entirely sure what that involves, and what would *need* doing. Don't want to spend a fortune, but i think it needs doing, as the bike is 9 years old now, with 28k on the clock.
I've sent them an email to find out about turn around time, and pricing, but was wondering what the BCF masses think? ____________________

Not heard of either of them. Doesn't mean they are crap of course.
I guess you've put the big names in already?
Hagon
MCT
Kais
K-Tech
If you can get the parts off the bike yourself you could send them to 100% suspension.
A rebuild would be new oil in the forks and replace any worn parts, and fresh oil + gas in the shock + replacement of any worn parts (if it's rebuildable) ____________________ My Flickr |

Kickstart seems to recommend Revs alot...
MH Racing are another I found online, which are only a 5 minute drive from my gfs house.
Don't like the look of a Hagon shock. Seem's like it would be a bit of a downgrade from the OEM spec shock, but i think that's just me talking poo.
MCT are in the wrong part of the country.
Funnily enough I never though of K-Tech, they're almost on my doorstep, only a 20 minute drive up the M1!
EDIT: Revs racing and MH Racing are both on K-Tech's Dealer list ____________________

With K-Tech only 20 minutes down the motorway I think that's where I'd take mine if I could, but it's your choice.
There's no suspension specialists near me unfortunately. ____________________ My Flickr |

K-Tech have very little information on their website about servicing shocks / forks and pricing.
I've sent them a message via their webnote system, so will see what response I get.
And I agree, I think they will be the best option, but depends also on pricing really. In Revs are better priced, i may go there. They're based in Halesowen, which isn't too far out from leicester. ____________________

I know that people say they are good shocks, and I don't doubt they are. But I can't justify (to myself) fitting an aftermarket part that is effectively a bottom-of-the-range item. No doubt this makes me a bit of a nob, but #1 priority is being happy with my bike.
Last time I was considering a replacement shock I ended up dribbling over this;

I'd much rather stay with the factory equipment, especially as having it rebuilt should still be cheaper than even a Hagon. ____________________
