The thing I like most about the little GS125 is the fact that you have to thrash it to get anything like acceleration, it puts in a lot of effort but doesn't get very far! I think I'll miss that when I get a bigger bike.

The thing I loath about it is the shitty wiring that keeps snapping (I've been informed most Jap bikes have shit wiring Question) and causing me grief!

Hey there.
I agree with you on he thrashing bit, something I love about my KH100 is that you can really nail it around twisities with the bike flat out, revving its balls off in relitive safety compared to if you tried the same on a bigger bike. I love the low throaty rumble it produces if you are pottering about at low revs, I love the way it looks, I love the fact I paid under half of what my mate with a CG paid and that my bike is better Mr. Green . I love the fact its mine.

I hate the fact its a rolling money pit, I hate the electrics (lights which dimly glow after a 5 second wait from switching them on, including indicators), I hate the OE front tyre that I cant afford to replace, I hate that spartk plugs last only a month, I hate the fact the carbuettor idle screw keeps gungin up so I have to sit there revving it just to keep it going! I hate the fact I cant ride it because I went and crashed it Sad .

The things I hate are minor though, I love my bike genrally and cant wait to get back on it! Very Happy

Cheers, Jonathan

I love that my bike only cost me £2500 but gets me up to 140 odd mph!

Don't see any cars doing that Laughing

I hate that to keep it tip-top I have to spend a lot on consumables, just spent £250 on new tyres and needs a service...

I love the fact that it's faster than a Hayabusa

I hate the fact that it's still not fast enough

I love my bike's ability to corner extremely well probably more than anything.

I loathe how much fuel it uses in comparison to my NSR.

matty, I think coz its a gs 125 thats got shitty wiring, most new bike electrics are pretty sound. When you pass your test you will love thrashing the old bike and won't give the old one a second thought.

Love: The pick up of speed on my ped, it gets to thirty in under 5 seconds!

Loathe: The electrics, loads of loose connections, sometimes my brake light works - sometimes not. Confused

Well, I like the Bimota because I always wanted one, and it is quicker than I am. I hate the suspension being designed for someone about twice my weight.

Mainly Suzukis. Japanese wiring itself is generally not great, but the connectors are often good quality. Italian wiring is probably no worse, possibly better, but the connectors are definatly worse.

All the best

Keith

That would explain why my piaggio has dodgy electrical connectors - They are Italian Rolling Eyes Razz

I love the slighly harsh and rough tickover sound of my zx6r. I love the fact that its not injected, with all that lurching on/off business. I love the sound of the engine working hard, and the airbox growl.
I dislike the hard std suspension, the fact it can be a bitch to start when its hot, and also that its been sat in my garage costing me money for months! but all those points are all forgotten except maybe the suspension when im riding it. Its also the best looking and sounding 600! I await the arguments!
My KMX200 is brilliant in every way, and thats not just because i seem to have a strange liking for 200cc 2-stroke dirtbikes (really want an MTX200 and a DT200 as well!), but its more fun to ride than nearly any bike ive ever ridden. I think a TDR250 would be almost as much fun, but its not as light, and its a twin, so its no good at all! Only downside to my KMX is that it decided to blow up a few wks ago, and im now a bit paranoid as to what state the motors internals will be in? If anyone knows where i can get a spare engine, i think that might be a good plan, especially as im planning to tune it, and so far i havnt tuned a 2stroke (except for an outboard motor) that didnt throw a wobbly soon after lol!

Which 6r you got matey?! i'm on the 636 a1..

love the mad howl of the air box as u hammer up the rev range.. love the revised handling (had the super hard suspension sorted by a suspenders xpert!) love the look on car drivers faces as you leave em for dead, @the traffic light grandprix... or as you perform a flaming shotgun inches from their bonnet! (as they tailgate ya thru town!).. in short, the only thing i dislike is the cost of servicing (every 4000 miles urgh!!) and tyres!

That isn't really the injections fault, more the makers screwing up the fueling to try an save a thimble full of fuel.

All the best

Keith

I love the look of my bike. I love that it is mine!

On the other hand, I loath non-self-cancelling indicators and that it won't move off in second gear. But now I'm just being picky!

Mines the j1 model in the same colours as izzi'e one! Red/white/black is the only other! traditional kawasaki colour, and the stripy clour scheme reminds me of the early ZXR750H models, with the big Hoover pipes lol! Also many of the GPZ600/900's, GPZ1000RX's, and ZX10's were red/black. proper Ninja's!
Im having new tyres,s/s front brake lines,EBC HH pads, all fitted next month. Oh and i nearly forgot, the 1st MOT. Im going to set up the suspension as per the PB reccomended settings, but really a new rear shock would be ideal! Next if i can afford to, il buy a black screen, and an ignition advancer. I think i need to start riding it a bit then! 636 is nice BTW, but i hate the newest ZX6R its sooo ugly!

Get a mid 80s Yamaha and you can have self canceling indicators that work quite well Dance! .
