It would probably run, apparantly higher compression Petrol engines will sort of run on diesel Im told, so I would expect you be able to get some life out of cellulose thinners, but tthe bike wouldn't last long before going bang! Twisted Evil If it doesn't start with just thinners, dilute it with petrol until it does if you must. Very Happy

an internal combustion engine will run on just about anything that can be ignited with a spark or self ignites under compression and that includes gases

however, if you don't have the whole system set up for the calorific value of the fuel then the result will vary from not ever starting at all to running so hot that everything melts

Note the 4 stroke bit! i once spent hours trying to get a knackered old lawnmower to run, even on fresh unleaded, it didnt want to know. It was a flymo 2stroke though so thats probably why! I think i threw it ontoa rubbish pile on some blokes allotment soon after.

Some bloke down the pub told me to put some cellulose thinners in my kx250 when i was selling it. He said that it would make it a bit faster but it would run a 'little' hot.

Don't know if you can really trust what some drunk in a pub says though, Thumbs Up Very Happy

They also got a car to run on Poo a few weeks back! That Volvo, the "Vegetarian Car" as they called it was a good piece of TV, I thought it was a bit unfair though that the Tax man could do you for not paying the fuel duty on it though, I thought the goverment were all for conserving resources and alternative energy. Confused
