Nsr 125 starting problem

Hi everyone, i have a 2000 reg nsr 125 but having a problem. It wont start up, the starter motor engages and you can hear it making the noise when using the starter button but it wont fire up, Battery also dies within 2 hours because of this when im trying to start it up. I was reading on here that it was ok to jump start the bike from a car battery and it fired up striaight away but the starter solenoid stuk causing it to cut out and drain the battery again.

Anyway the bike wont start up with starter button or jump now, but the starter motor still engages, is it the battery thats the problem or could it be something else

I have cleaned air filter and spark plug, there is a spark from the plug.

Hi

Have you tried kicking it off. you say in wont bump start. How did your bike stop starting. It may be your carb needs cleaning, check for blockages. Could be fuel not reaching your cylinder. Also check your air box for and make sure nothing it stopping air intake. Also have you made sure you have enough enough fuel in your tank.

Change the spark plug,exactly the same thing happened with mine.Sometimes it did start sometimes it didn`t at all.Do not use your starter motor a lot you might buy another one pretty soon.Get a br9eix or br10eix spark plug,and calm down is a Honda Thumbs Up

.Also cleaning the spark plug did nothing,it just looks clean on the outside.

it's more likely your battery which is worn . when the battery is not charged enough , you will hear the starter relay clicking then your starter gear turning fast without engaging the flywheel . buy a new SEALED battery then verify that your alternator charge correctly

ok i got it solved now thanks for your help guys. Im new to riding geared bikes so anyone got any tips on when to shift gears, i can shift them but i dont realy know how high the revs need to be before i shift up

very weak spark from the spark plug, and the fuel valvle was broke, it would turn but wouldnt let any fuel in, it was turned to reserve tank and wouldnt turn to on
