Hi,

I want to take my rear shocks apart to clean it. They're the type in the picture below:

Can it be done, and is it more trouble than it's worth?

It can be done, but you need a special jig to compress the spring so that it pulls back and you gain access to a nut underneath the eyelet. Or something along those lines..

Basically, unless you have a jig - the answer's no.
