Is this basically a site for dodgy cars that have been ragged to death by boyracers and nutters?

The forum of classifieds?

I've actually sold all my cars on Pistonheads, definitely the way to go.

Don't use the forum much but seems to be helpful.

Have you actually READ any of pistonheads? Its about the only classy car forum on the net.

Its about as far from www.chavcars.com as you can get!

Never been to their forums....but i`ve been looking at the classified pages for a few months now.
Seems to be an awful lot of modified cars there which is what made me think they`re all dodgy/ex-boy racer.
Embarassed

I know my name`s max power.....but i`m not really into "that" scene.I want a nice car thats not been feckled with. Wink

You will get some chavvy cars that look like they're supposed to go fast, but don't.

But then you get cars that have been done properly, look like they go fast and they DO go fast Razz

I haven't came across many modified or boy racer type cars in the classifieds. I guess it depends on what you are looking for.

What's wrong with the older S3's? I've thinking of buying one, either that or the TT to which i'm not overly keen on, a bit too round. Can pick them up for around £6,000 it seems.

Not a bad car though.....just not as pretty as the newer models.

Ah i see, very nice. Smile

I see from your other thread the list of cars, i think if i had 10k i'd definitely be looking at the 350z. Not sure i'd even think about the Cupra tho, i'm guessing it's slower then the S3 & doesn't look as nice, more of an expensive Golf Mk4 if anything. M3 would also be nice tho. Cool

M3 Wink a 02-03 ish can be picked up for not much more than £10k.

Mate of mine recently got one, 52 reg with about 60k on the clock, brand new tyres etc etc. Can't remember what he paid, but was around the £10k mark.

tbh my top 3 is the focus st,..the m3 csl..and the 350z...(with the TT and cooper s coming 4th and 5th)

I`d be happy with any of them its just a matter of which one i find first in the best condition.(after xmas)
Still struggling with the mileage issue though. Most of the £10k M3s have very high mileage whereas i could get an £10k focus st with less than 15k on the clocks.
Confused

Yeah you could pick up a much lower mileage ST for the same as you could a high mileage M3.

But ask yourself the question, do you want 250hp + FWD or 350hp and RWD? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

The NBR section on Barryboys is full of petrolheads and (because it is so well moderated) doesn't have any dickheads.

Never bothered with PH, since joining BB.

Buy an Impreza STI then. It will suit your username.

You picked that up from some kid on a Chav car forum trying to make their car look good. It is obviously not real.

The graphs of torque and power should cross at 5252rpm Wink .

All the best
