Nah, a sock is just like tissue, it can only be used once (unless you wash it), because once it goes hard and crispy, it aint nice no more.

its like sanding down your cock (pleasant thought i know)

The resin in carbon fibre melts pretty easily though and when that happens you just end up with some floppy cloth, so surely if you ever get a fire under the bridge then you risk total structural failure?

I planted over 9,000 trees .... and consider myself carbon neutral Smile

Ulthar, you don't seem to be good when it comes to point out facts, referring to your recent imperial bridge heights post. Your lift and highlight hasn't answered my point at all.

The carbon fibre is a structural element in the bridge, to replace steel, it's not just a mould to pour concrete into. Yes it is buried under several feet of soil, I said what if there is a fire underneath the bridge, right where the carbon fibre is, yes it may have a cover under it but it's not got several feet of soil under it aswell.

There are lots of high temperature carbon fibre composites out there. Some of the most well known being those used on the shuttles nose and wing leading edges or in racing car brakes.

How much energy is used to produce carbon fibre compared to steel? I'm not being at odds, just interested, ball park figures will do.
Also with it being carbon, does that mean it is bad? Like asbestos is bad now, but was a wonder material when it came out. .
