why is everyone selling their hybrid mitos now?
theres 2 on ebay and 1 on visordown...

£2400 starting bid though mine cost less than half that and will probably be better to ride.

also note how the ''heavily modified to take the power'' points dont include a reinforced headstock where other people who have done the 660 conversion found theirs cracked due to vibration.

If you mean by 'some', 'not much', then yes . Probably fun to ride, but far from fast, though it may feel it.

And yes, it is very common for big singles to have two header pipes (sometimes too exhausts) too flow a decent amount of gases.

I've seen that bike before when I was in edinburgh. That bike had a monster mob paint scheme when I saw it. It was silly loud and seemed like a very good conversion!

If it is and was converted properly, with improvements carried out to the suspension, brakes and strengthening where required, then i think it would be a really good fun bike to ride.

Yes an XT660 tenere engine is heavy and what 48bhp?, but it's still narrow and compact, and if mounted right in the frame should preseve alot of the Mito's handling and corner speed potential.

I bet it's a far better road bike for everyday riding, than the 30bhp 2smoke original machine.

Supr mono's are always fun to ride. Always slow but amazing round corners usually.

You can do some good tuning to those Yamaha engines.

You could always buy it, dump the motor in the nearest skip and replace it with a 350 YPVS lump I guess.

If you want a 600cc engine in a sports bike chassis wouldn't you just buy a 600cc sports bike?

You'd have to 'upgrade' just about everything on that mito to handle the increased power/speeds to the point where it would arguably cease to be a mito.

Or am I missing something?

Ahh ok. I missed the part about it being a single. Thought they had stuck an IL4 in there.

What is it about the mito that lends itself to having bigger engines put in? Is like a particularly well (over) designed / handling chassis for 125 or something?
