ubuntu gurus
installed the new kubuntu (9.10) and it comes with grub2 with no menu.lst file to edit
so i read around and ou need to edit some other file which acts in the same way the menu.lst file did
/etc/default/grub edited this to select my preferred OS and timeout to -1 then ran update-grub as it says and i got the message
Could not find /boot/grub/menu.lst file. Would you like /boot/grub/menu.lst generated for you? (y/N)
i though this didn't exist in grub 2? WTF! how do i edit my grub boot screen?

If you upgraded from a previous Ubuntu, you'll still have Grub 1. If it's a clean install on a fresh hard disk then it'll be Grub 2. Just making sure. Thumbs Up
