I keep seeing ads that tell you just how good things are,
best spark plug,
best petrol,
best tyres,
sexyest mirrors,
spanners that last for ever,
brightest lights, etc, etc etc.

one of my biggest dissapointments was back in the early 80`s, all the real bikers had belstaffs or similar.
So I got one, always cold, pockets filled with water and always smelt a bit iffy

I bought an alarm once, about the size of a fag packet, just stuck on with sticky pads. Crap. Should have got a shag alarm, much better.

Other than tax and insurance? Smile

Frank Thomas Aqua Pak. Ended up that I'd rather get wet than try to put the bloody thing on, only to end up with a wet crotch anyway.

One of those oxford stick on clocks. The display was tiny, the buttons to small to operate, and unless you looked at it at exactly the right angle you couldn't read the clock. It had a coming together with Mr Sledgehammer one day Twisted Evil .

A motrax wind skirt to my helmet, it actually worked very well, but it would never stay in place and hence after 50 miles it came off.

Bag 'o' wank.

Brilliant when they're new but when they need cleaning & adjusting, bin it. It's a disposable item and should be sold as such.

Handlebar muffs - Just felt wrong and weird and got wet on the inside and was yucky.

V2 Sponge, disgusting, horrible, you clean off the flies and you take a yucky black browny thing home. Feck that tissues and water and bin.

Motorcycle gear from Aldi/Lidl, such as boots - Absolute shite. (And yes I have bought them).

Motorcycle Waterproofs, expensive and all mine have leaked - Buy hiking waterproofs 1 size too big instead.

Baby wipes and water I find best. My normal run out is about 200 miles, so water is a must especially in summer.

I have a pair of Lidl Trousers cost me £50, last 2 years before water started coming through, thats better than most trousers.

Not buying the right kit then, I have a Triumph 2 peice textile set. The jacket is on it's third winter the trousers it's second, both are warm and fully water proof I rode home in the pissing rain last week There was not a single part of my body wet. The pair cost under £100 (jacket was £55 new at a BMF show, the trousers £20 second hand on Ebay)

100% agree. It is a superb idea but somehow it can't resist wind for a long time. Such a shame..

Worst biking accessory I've ever paid for? A couple of my exes fit into that category! Laughing

Seriously though, it's got to be a pair of lightwieght summer gloves which died my hands blue at the slightest hint of sweat then died them black when it rained... I gave them to my brother a few weeks ago. Very Happy
