it's at around 1:30 so no need to wait long or watch all

Did you give me the wrong time on purpose so I'd endure more footage?!!!??! Rolling Eyes

To save everyone else, it is worth starting from here if you want to see the incident only https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYJyXMIwuT0#t=1m10s

Anyway, as for the incident - yep, that sort of thing will wake you up!! Very Happy

You were speeding in that 20mph zone at the start. You should have been aware of the van to the right so that you didn't have to brake so hard and not speeding in the 30mph zone helps too. I guess that's what you are talking about.

Ok.. my bad.. it's more like 1:10.. at 3:38 that was nothing but I already was a bit stressed with the one from 1:10 Wink

1:10 I was braking "hard" to stop it was a bit damp.. I would have hit the guy if there had been no gap between him and the cars parked on the left. My right handlebar was an inch from his car. If he hadn't left me enough gap between him and parked cars I would have ended up in his arse as the braking was limited.

Sucks you had a close call.

But as already mentioned, you should have been aware of the van. Whenever I see a van in a junction I tell myself to act as if something is going to pull out behind it due to not seeing me. Lesson learned. Mr. Green.

Full colour, realtime, onboard video is no substitute for a paint diagram.

People just don't seem to put any effort into their crash/near crash reporting threads these days. Rolling Eyes

The ability to draw or master MS Paint is not relevant. It is the BSF standard in such incidents, Just plod away and stop using new fangled Youtube nonsense.

Where was the horn, the shouting, the pulling along side expressing your displeasure in there move?

I'll let you off the horn as i never get time to use it in the car or on the bike. By the time i've stop screaming obscenities at them its to late for the horn to be pressed.

Nice drawing Laughing

Mine is similar except the poo stayed in my pants and I couldn't really give a damn whether he was indicating his intention to turn right or not as I wouldn't have seen that anyway.

Nobody said it had to be accurate. Just modify whatever happened so a) It makes you look cool. b) It makes you look more in the right and c) It makes the other driver look more in the wrong.

It's what everyone else does Wink

There is one, but what's the point? You use it when you want to warn about your presence.. in that case it was a bit late to do so Laughing
