Ok i saw a bike for sale in the autotrader yesterday called the guy, he was a turkish guy he told me he had v5 it had 3 previous owners ect.. I took insurance out on it so i could drive it back that day if i decided to buy it i did a HPI check and it was all ok.

Then i called him back and he told me he had sold it, now i look today and it's back on the autotrader under a new ad in a new location i called the new number and it was a another turkish guy saying he bought it off his friend yesterday and basically he's selling it on at a profit (£100) as he's a trader he's said he's got the v5 with the previous owners still on it and a receipt off the last owner.

Wtf shall i do here should i still go buy it off him or does it sound dodgy, not sure what to do as i really need and wan't this bike.

Don't touch it with a bargepole. It's a bugger about the insurance, but it could end up costing you a lot more. Sounds like a scam of some kind, for sure.

Its either something fishy, Or just a dealer selling to another dealer.

Usually if one dealer has some stock in for a while, They will try and off load it to another dealer for a slightly lower price. Usually the other dealer puts it up for a bit more than the origional.

Or it could be the same bloke who has had a couple of bikes, sold one and got found out about something dodgy, Moved to a new location or another address he has and started to sell from there.

It's not a dealers it's just a guy who has bought it to sell on at a profit i think, i did a HPI with Vin and it all checks out fine, if the V5 is genuine and the Vin matches the bike will it have to be legit.

The VIN says 1964 yet it's a 2006 bike...
