In the Youtube T&Cs

10.2 The above licenses granted by you in User Videos terminate when you remove or delete your User Videos from the Website. The above licenses granted by you in User Comments are perpetual and irrevocable, but are otherwise without prejudice to your ownerships rights, which are retained by you as set out in paragraph 8.2 above. |

Basically if you upload it, they can use it in any way provided it's business related without paying you, or giving you credit. (I think)

I see, so I still own the copyright for all other occasions, I just have to give youtube permission to use my videos for free.

Yes but find a water marking program to put your name and (C) at the bottom, its far too easy to download a youtube video and cut it into little bits and or claim it as your own.
Even windows movie maker is capable of adding a watermark, title screens and such like don't work so well as you can trim those off too easily, the only realistic way to remove a name or copyright thing in the corner is to crop the video in question or go over it with your own copyright banner type thing.
