If you have had a car licence for more than two years, its 12 points then a ban, if less than 2 years its 6 point then a ban and a retest. So.... if you've had your car licence for more than 2 years and have just recently passed your bike test is it still 6 points a ban and a retest for the bike kicence.

You have the full twelve to play with. The two year - six point rule only applies from the first category gained Thumbs Up

Thought as much, i passed my car and bike test in the same week. so i take it that i only have the six to play with for the two of them, then its a retest for both licences..............

Six points from the date of the category you passed first.

I think you only have to take one test (you choose which you reckon you can pass most easily) and both categories will be back on your licence.

That's correct.

And also, it's not a ban.

If your licence gets revoked, you could leave court, go straight to do a CBT and be back on the road the same day (on a 125cc).
