| Quote: | I find he is hypocritcal in the sense that he has done little in residency to reduce his own energy consumption while pursuing the enviromental movement |
what you may find is that hes not a enviromental activist at all- ACTIONS SPEAK- perhaps you should listen?
| Quote: | He is not a scientist. I do not care whether he has a personal agenda or is set to gain anything from raising the awareness of climate change. |
but then how could you gain an understanding of this if you WONT take all aspect into account? "i dont care what his personal agenda is how much he has to earn and how much his actions go against the grain of what hes saying hes raising the awareness of climate change"
is he really? or is he just fear mongering to serve his own agenda and the agenda of those he works for?
| Quote: | He can manipulate or make up anything he likes. |
wicked so by your standards the main person raising awareness and educating the masses on this issue can manipulate the truth all they like..sound..as fuck
| Quote: | The difference between him and a scientist is that the latter follows the Scientific Method and they are held accountable on their work. |
the difference between him and a scientist is scientists arent working day and night to tax every aspect of your life and gain much more control-scientists have a true interest and good intentions, algore wants to rape you.. your an idiot |

The hacked documents and communications reveal how top scientists conspired to falsify data in the face of declining global temperatures in order to prop up the premise that man-made factors are driving climate change. Others illustrate how they embarked on a venomous and coordinated campaign to ostracize climate skeptics and use their influence to keep dissenting reports from appearing in peer-reviewed journals, as well as using cronyism to avoid compliance with Freedom of Information Act requests.

I have no idea what is true regarding climate change/global warming/cooling etc etc etc. This story just muddies the water even further.
Whether its right or wrong, I tend to disbelieve anything this government pedals so I'm leaning towards it being an excuse governments can use to generate more tax revenue and maintain the general feeling of hysteria, (keeping us on our toes supposedly...)
Heck, I don't even know if that is true.
What would be refreshing (and probably unthinkable) is for there to be a period of time when there aren't any threats. No terrorism/cold war/global heehaw. I suppose governments would implode, no new laws could be passed and there'd be global financial meltdown.
I'm treating this as a non-story as I never really believed in any of it in the first place. I didn't need to, I don't consume that much of anything.
Ok, I take more poly bags than I should at the coop, but that should be more than adequately off-set as they are a fair trade shop sourcing as they do, many of their supplies from happy smiling colonial types. (I know because I've seen their sunny faces in adverts...)
Ummm...

i think bags should be banned as well as shopping think of all that carbon produced traveling to a shop.humans should have to eat from the floor like all other animals and come to mention it the average family dog should be taxed as much as a 4.5 liter engine driving a few thousand miles per year..as the carbon calculation from the EXPERTS goes |

I hate this phrase, but it sums up how climate change has been hyped to near religious status. What's the opposite to denial? It's belief.
IMO belief and denial are bourne out of a situation where the evidence is unclear, inconclusive, and there are plausible arguments on either side.
If something can be overwhelmingly proven, you don't have to believe, as it is simply knowledge of the truth.
I don't believe that without a beating heart an animal will die, I KNOW it is the truth.
The same cannot be said about MMCC, since it is not comprehensibly and infallably proven. Even though this is the case, massive propoganda is shoved down our (some willing) throats, day in day out. This would not been needed if the hypothesis was obviously true. It is needed, however, to convince the populous that it is happening, and that it is all our fault, and we need to fix it. Clearly the best way of fixing it is taxing the shit out of us, then not actually doing anything about the proposed problem.
If the politicans, and all the 'believers' really, really thought that the problem was as serious as they say it is, something could be done, very easily. Of course that something would put society back about 100 years, but that's better than:
| Some scentist wrote: | a mass extinction of almost all life and probably reduce humanity to a few struggling groups of embattled survivors clinging to life near the poles |
It's a load of shit, IMO, something for the chattering classes to bang on about when they're at dinner parties, and talk about how terrible it is, and how they had to offset the carbon from their 3 week eco safari, and how they just felt they had to change their BMW X5 to a brand spanking Q7 diesel, which recovers the energy lost in braking to charge the battery, which they can then use to power the A/C. All whilst they bend over and take it up the ass as the govt screw yet more pennies out of them to waste on some total shit.
May have gone off topic just a little, but fuck it. |

The term 'climate change denier' is innaccurate. I imagine the majority of people realise the climate is probably changing, if they are denying anything, at worst they're denying it's caused by man, at best they just don't know.
I fall into the latter category, I also don't care, because I can't really do anything else to limit my consumption.
All I know is governments have never to my knowledge and limited recall turned round and declared something positive has happened meaning either we or people poorer than us in other countries are going to be much better off either economically or culturally; it's always doom and gloom with the punchline of more taxes/less liberty.
No one can deny that.
