What's the difference? Is it purely aesthetic? I can't see how one being oval or round would make any difference in looks or performance.

its also said that oval cans give slightly better ground clearance (obviously only on the track bikes...bugger would my bike get that low Laughing), this was later taken more extreme with the yoshimura tri-oval.

i'm not convinced personally......and neither are most exhaust manufacturers Thumbs Up

Laughing Oops yeah, exhausts. Hmm think I'll just get round then, cheaper and I don't think the Bros will be neediing the ground clearance.

I'm a bit nervous about getting a race exhaust because I don't want the insurance f****s to get me if I crash. I think it's a safer option because people can hear you as well as see you.

Can you get silencers or dB killers for any exhaust?

But only a few companies make Bros race exhausts unsuprisingly and none of them have anything to make them remotely legal. Is it easy to make something to stick in the exhaust? I've got a fairly complete metal working unit at my disposal.

Ive never had an insurance company say anything about my exhausts

They do look different. Oval ones look cooler, but some look big from the side view, thats why i opted for a round one for my cbr400; small bike, it would look silly with a great big race can on it...

I got an oval one on the GSXR400. Looks way better than the standard one that's round. Doesn't look silly at all.

I was slapping myself on the head at the answer being stupidly obvious. I was just quoting what you wrote as that was what made me realise what I was missing. Smile

I was intent on getting an oval CF one. No-one seemed to have what i wanted. In fact pretty much no-one had oval ones for my bike...

I got measurements from ART for their oval can. It just so happened i has an akropovic can around, which was the same size. I offered it up and it looked silly. Little bike with massive can. I think it would be like nova with a massive exahaust, execpt 400s aren't THAT slow.

i do recon oval ones do look better though...
The round one will be fine, and it CF which goes with my black bike. And its only 200 squids.

Got any pics m8, you can show us?

Don't have any detailed pics of the bike with the Scorpion can fitted so this is the best I can do.
