Hi guys.

So i was coming back from seeing deepfriedmarsbar, it was raining, and about 5 minutes from my house, had a cager slam into the side of me.

I took out most of his lights on the drivers side, the bumper, mirror and broke his windscreen too. my bike didn't come off much better though.

was a renault espace, a big beastly people carrier.

Forks are bent, frame may be bent, side of the bike is smashed in, the foot pegs are scraped and bent back and the rear brake pedal is bent right back

It also wouldn't go into neutral and wont start.

Claiming off the guys insurance for the bike, lid, leathers, boots, and for my personal injury.

luckily for me i get free legal cover with my insurance so i have spoken to the solicitors.

I'm not too good, got a broken elbow and my right leg is really swollen, can hardly walk.

Accident was on the A199, at the turnoff for the A1 in case anyone was wondering.

Staying off the bike for now

I suppose i'm a lucky guy, could've been a lot worse

Three traffic police cars and an ambulance showed up, and they closed the road too Shocked

So the guy admitted full liability to the police and it's all being sorted out now. been on the phone all day.

So once i'm all healed up, and nearer summer i'll be doing my test. Weekend warrior-ism FTW. itll keep my mum happy.

also had a look at my kit tonight....

lid is guffed, grass under the visor where i hit the ground
trousers have the lining ripped through on the right leg
jacket, have mud scraped up the shoulders/back, and ripper on the stitching on the sides
boots are really bad, metal bits ripped off and split on the soles.

but they did their job.

Thumbs Up to akito for the jacket, box for the lid and buse for the boots.

anyone that thinks the aldi/lidl bike gear is shit, have another think, those trousers saved my skin.

So another Thumbs Up to the cheapshite but very good aldi bike trousers.

Cheers

Dunc

Get well soon mate , good the car driver is admitting responsibility , you don't need that hassle on top of the shit you just been through .

Good thing you were wearing your gear , so many people don't.

Buy the best gear you can , not necessarily the most expensive and used stuff can be a bargain (but not helmets).

Agreed, paint diagram needed (or https://draw.accidentsketch.co.uk/) and do get well soon Thumbs Up

You are officially relieved of being allowed on the road on another CG by the RSPCCG. A long running joke prehaps, but in all seriousness mate, please take it easy.

Edit: AWESOME PAINT DIAGRAM Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Karma

So am I to assume that he turned in to the side road without seeing you, and you swerved but he still hit you? Silly idiots on the road.

Dunc is a sex offender first, a CG enthusiast second. I'm only thinking of HIS priorities. Laughing

A girl patting your cock and saying "That was just dandy, dear." does not make you good in bed.
