Registry editing??

In order to get a program to work I have been given the follow instructions:

To enable using this via 3G, edit the following entry using a Reg Editor:

Value: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Melodis\Midomi\midomiGU IDType
Value Change: from 3 to 1


How do I go about doing that then?

start > run > regedit

Go into start and type regedit in the run box. That'll open your registry. Then use the search function (put Melodis into it, that'll highlight all the relevant areas until you find the specific one you want).

i was going to post about how to repair a registry on a computer that cannot boot into windows.

i was going to post about using hirens boot cd and the tools on it

but i cant be arsed

and yeah, its a good idea to back up your reg about twice a month, not so important on xp,vista or 7, but still a good habit to get into.
