Don't get glasses with 'thick' legs when they come to the lens...
If you still do lifesavers ( ) then the legs restrict your view behind greatly. To the extent I'd rather squint than wear them. Feels like I am blocking too much vision with them on and really dislike riding with them on. ____________________ Past: Honda x8rs, Honda City fly, Honda Hornet 250, Honda VFR750, Yamaha xt600e.

How much do you want to spend? If they are just going to live in an out pocket of a motorbike jacket, do they need to be any good?
What was meant by fishing glasses, was that they are designed to stop the sun dazzling your eyes off the water... same problem with the sun on wet roads. Go and look at glasses in shops, they need to fit comfortably inside your helmet so bring that with you, and then ask if they are polarized.
I'd just get some cheap ones...
But if you want to spend money Oakley are good ____________________ Past: Honda x8rs, Honda City fly, Honda Hornet 250, Honda VFR750, Yamaha xt600e.

I have a pair of Oakleys that fit nicely in my lid and do the job for me. ____________________ Current: Suzuki DRZ400sm (07) https://fbc.spruz.com

Another vote for oakleys. Some of their wraparound ones have a kind of "rest" built in that goes against your cheekbone and prevents them being pushed against your eyelashes in an annoying fashion.
I'd recommend the "fives".
They aren't cheap, but once you wear them, you'll realise how cheap and nasty a lot of the sunglasses out there are. Particularly with the optical quality of the lenses.

EDIT: I've had a set of 6 years now. Still fine, I keep them in the cloth bag when not on my face. Seems to be if you spend that much on sunglasses, you tend to look after them. There have been a couple of incidents where they've been squashed/sat on. They tend to just pop apart rather than break, you just snap the legs back on again or pop the lenses back in and all is well with the world. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. Oakleys seem the brand to have.
I deffo need to get a pair of sunglasses, was it just me or was the glare really bad from the road today?
That'll teach me to ride into the sun. ____________________ [Current Bikes - GSXR-750 K5 & C90-97 ] [Previous Bikes: Runner 125, YBR 125, GS500, Bandit 600, Hornet 600, ZX6R-99, C90-99, R1-99, XT600E-04, GSXR-750 K4, CRF250L '16] |

I have a set of fives too, think i've had mine about 7 years. They served me well and are still my back ups although they were getting a bit scratched looking - they have seen several festivals, lots of cycling trips, drunken summer nights and basically been on at any point when the sun was out and some when it blatantly wasnt but wearing the Oakleys made it seem like it was!
I finally replaced mine this year with a new set of fives squared. Initially i didn't like them as much as the old pair but they are winning me round now. Can be got about £50. Buy some! ____________________ Harold_Shand wrote: I suppose it's like anything, you get your fingers burned when you start out, you learn from it and eventually become a complete arsehole about the whole thing. |

If you're after a bargain set, check out the skiing section on eBay - I picked up a £100 + as new set of "Bolle" shades on there for a fiver |
