Traffic Light Fail :(

Hi, i had a slight fail earlier, i was at the front of a queue of traffic at lights, and one set of lights changed to green. I moved forward about 5ish car lengths, then realised my set of lights were still on red!
I stopped, and reversed back, so the rear of my car was on the line, but the car behind me had taken my space.

I was in the car.
Im so worried about it, ive only been driving about 3(ish) weeks. I really dont want the 3 points or the fine :'(
If anything comes of it, il take it to court. It was a genuine accident, and i did try correct it by reversing back.

was there a red light camera there? if not would not worry about it, if there was and it flashed then 3points and 60 fine are on the way, as for going to court i wouldn't waste you time more than likely you would be shafted a little bit more.

Im not sure. There is a little box ontop of the lights, which a mate says is a sensor.
Im sure there was no flash, but this whole situation occurred because i wasnt paying attention.

I only reversed because i would have been in the way.
I couldnt keep going round because there was traffic going, in the diagram, left to right.
Cheers hellkat, il agree you probably have got stones older than me. Ive had my license for 18months, but driving for 3ish weeks.

The red light was only controlling traffic turning to the right (you and the oncoming), it would not have a red light camera, they only use those on the main flow.
