I've been trying to get out and rub my engine casings down and apply some ACF50 for the last few weekends and every weekend it's been fucking raining!!

I'm getting pretty pissed off as I have no where under cover to put my bike.

Thanks, just wanted to get that off my chest! Embarassed

P.S. Is it true that you shouldn't cover a wet bike?

I'd give anything to be out riding in this weather, be happy you can ride at all. Thumbs Up.

I went for a run on moday, Scunthorpe to Matlock Bath, 8 miles to go and it pisses down. Waterproofs on over jacket/trousers, got there just a slight line of wetness down the front. An hour + cuppa + a couple of smokes and set off back to scunny. Raining so hard it was bouncing of the road... arrived home like a drowned cat, but did i enjoy the trip? you bet i did, so don't pussyfoot about, just get out there and ride... you'll only get wet... a bit. Thumbs Up

Prefer warm to cold, dry to wet, wet to snow, snow to ice, bike to car. I'd rather ride in rain than not at all though.

This spell of sh*tty weather does seem to have lasted a good couple of weeks. Ah well, when it dries out will make the ride to/from work feel much more of a hoot again Smile

I'd advise against it, it can damage some types of paintwork and the moisture trapped under the cover can make rust more likely.

Every fecking day this week I've gotten up for work and it's been horrific outside, so I grumble and get in the car.

I arrive at work, and 30 minutes later the sun is coming up, the sky clears, and it's gloriously sunny. FUCK IT!

Just taken delivery of my new bike, I'm insured, it's actually quite sunny and but I can't ride it till my cover letter gets emailed through (which doesn't seem to be happening) so I can get the thing taxed.

If I was back home the bike would be bundled up for the winter in the garage and I wouldn't get to use it again until March.

Not that I'm able to use right now anyway, the heavens just opened and HORIZONTAL rain blasted past the windows for about three minutes. And now the sun is out again Confused

I'm loving riding in this wind and rain. It seems to be far more interesting than boring summer weather.

Less comfortable maybe but it's a lot of fun.

Billy Connolly I think. I had it as a sig for a while

It is sunny here atm. Been outside working all morning.

Crappy webcam pic of outside, so bright it won't refocus to the correct brightness level. Blue sky, one cloud in sight. Still chilly outside. Wink

Not been out on mine for nearly 2 weeks now..and have no desire to either.
I rented a car off enterprise coz i had a long haul to do during the recent floods, and i`ve got so accustomed to being dry, warm, and comfy, that i`ve extended the rental period for another 2 weeks Laughing
This might just be the end of "full time" riding for me.......4 wheels has suddenly become very very appealing. Thumbs Up

A few months back i thought it was going to be a drag being in a car after using bikes everyday for the last 3 years.....but its not,its actually the complete opposite and im loving it at the moment.

Mmm...fair weather rider????....im liking that idea. Thumbs Up Mr. Green

The weather lately has been exceptionally poor indeed.
Every time i feel like a ride it has been raining on and off all day.

I have been out though. Just not as pleasurable as when it's not raining Razz

Thought about it today. It was fine outside when I got up, felt all excited, brushed my teeth, got dressed... and heard the rain starting to fall again. Grumbled, got in the car. Rain pissing down, car told me it was 4 degrees outside. Crying or Very sad

Just went for an hour's ride and got to test out my new Tech7 rain suit - AWESOME is the only word that can describe it. £30 well spent. Bye bye wet crotch, wet top etc (my textiles fail dismally after 20 mins or so even though I've reproofed them with Nikwax). It started belting down and I got home dripping all over the carpet, but I was bone dry underneath. Thumbs Up Mr. Green Live a little.

I was going to do that as well, but settled for Scottoiler FS365 as apparently you can use it on a wet bike and it still works.

I rinse the bike off after heavy rain, spray it and leave it. If it's still there in March I'll let you know. Wink
