And another one!!
Who here has suffered with what is known as "dry socket"?? - following tooth extraction. If you have had it you will know it.
No amount of pain killers work and sadly the only thing that has brought relief is oil of cloves which is foul tasting but amazing numbing properties......
I had never come across this condition before and being that it is far worse than childbirth along with needles in your eyes, cannot believe I wasnt aware of it before!
If you suffer in the future...oil of cloves is your ONLY friend. You will be ready to kill on sight and have not a kind word to say to anyone....such pain i have never known....
The point of this post.....if you have suffered with it, HOW LONG DID IT GO ON FOR!!!! ____________________ Always believe that your guardian angel flies a bit faster than you............... |

I'd have thought common sense would dictate that they squirt some local anaesthetic into the socket and wait for a minute before applying the packing. Maybe not though, I do wonder what they they teach them at medical school these days. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. Be carefull with it ,i had a upper back tooth pulled a couple years ago and i thougt the continuing pain was dry socket till after about 4 days i was on shit loads of pain killers and had not slept in 2 days, it got to a point where i thought i had blocked ears so i held my nose closed and blew too clear, next thing i see is green puss running out of my nostrils and mouth.
Well an hour later im at the hospital with needles in my arm and 3 bags of antibiotics, the doctor said it had gone septic and it could have been very serious had i not gone to them. Turns out somtimes when you have an upper back tooth pulled the roots can be in the nasal cavity and when it is removed there is a hole between you mouth and the cavity which can cause an infection.
So dont leave it too long.
