Nope. Tyres aren't legal and they're too noisy. They've made it virtually impossible to get them on the road legally....with good reason.

I've seen people on these things in the Focus Car Park. They are usually Chavs thinking they are cool, lets face it my Moped goes double the speed. Rolling Eyes

Errr probably doesn't. Not unless you've tuned the nuts off your ped. Even the nasty cheap ones put out about the same power as a ped and weigh bugger all.

Well this one was obviously a crap one, as my restricted ped overtook it in the car park and I know it was doing full speed, he couldn't open up the throttle anymore.

I'm seriously considering buying one of these Laughing

The question I have before I do so is:

Is it allowed to ride them in a car park, obviously not at busy times, but say tesco's on a Sunday afternoon when there is no trade?

Or any other suggestions where to ride them (apart from an organised track).

Go to www.minimotoclub.com you'll find everything tou need to know. Some carparks allow minimotos on after hours, others turn a blind eye but the majority phone the police. Sad
Whats wrong with organised tracks £20 for all the track time your butt will allow?

Cheers for that Roo, they are the more serious mini-moto's.

I was looking at spending as little as possible, just a little fun bike.

Do you rate the £200 - £300 minimoto's sold on ebay?

Are parts for these cheap mini-moto's easily available?

Cheers!

No, parts are very difficult to get hold of. Their copies from China and it appears the Chinese like copying the Chinese as much as anyone else, so their are like 7-8 models going around at the mo each slighly different. At the very least to get any kind of long term fun you need a Blata. These can be had for £600 new or you could wait for a used one. Parts and tuning bits are readily available. If you go with a cheapy Ebay job (known as Cags) then you'll have great fun untill it breaks then you'll have a big headache finding bits. Plus the Blatas are more saleable should you lose interest.
Don't be conned by people on Ebay selling stuff as Blata either a lot of it isn't.
Sorry to go on a bit, hope I've helped
Roo.
