NO WAY! Brand new and it is the only way it should be.

Just because it is second hand, does not mean it is rubbish! It could be fine and have loads of tread.

Plenty people buy used tyres, it's quite common.

Wouldn't ever be arsed myself - the saving is countered by the fact that you've got to change it sooner and I'm lazier than I am poor.

I'd buy a £20 used tire. However i would keep it for emergencies. do long as the thing had some tred and no cuts/holes then i cant see a problem with using it.

Hi

I have bought 2nd hand tyres in the past and probably would do again. Used one on the Bandit when the rear was finished long before the front. Stuck one on one of the Aprilias (the tyre was virtually new anyway, doubt it had done 50 miles).

Generally it is not worth the bother, but if a local place has one in, in reasonable condition, then why not.

By the way, what model of Cagiva is it for E reg?

All the best

Keith

The 010 I had on the front of my bike came out of a stash taken off of race bikes in exchange for stickier rubber. I bought it off of G for £20, and it was fine - plenty of tread left, loads of grip. It did well on the Cadwell trackday and the only reason I changed it was because the rear one was shot and I wanted a different make of tyre.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I bought a second hand rear tyre for £10 fitted. Also had lots of tread on it. Only got it because I had no cash.

Not a commuter. Quite a nice sporting bike when they were new. Either a 350 (not imported officially) or a 650.

All the best
