PS3 Racing Games

What's the best?!

I've got meself a PS3 and the only games the gf is interested in are "racing ones".

What does everybody reckon the best proper racing game is? Something like PGR2 for the Xbox is probably what I'm after, street based tracks rather than grand prix stuff.

I think your only options are GRID or GT5. They have some 'grand prix' type race circuits but then they have street circuits (if you can call them that).

Nothing compares to PGR4 on the 360 though, which is a shame really as everyone knows PS3 > 360

dont get gt5 untill the full game comes out in march. lol only 4 years late. gt5 prologue is basicly just a demo and is pretty pants to play.
but i love my racing games and ive also found there is nothing out there really that tickles my fancy.

I think I'm going to have to expand my requirements to include rally games!

Dirt 2 looks pretty good..

DiRT 2 is good, if a little too American.

Still well worth it IMO though.
