Nothing important, just an amusing tale....

Waiting to pull out of a junction last night, I hear a high buzzing, after checking it's not a wasp in my lid Wink, I look into my mirrors to see 2 scoots pull up behind me.
Had a chuckle to myself as they gasped at the comparitive size of a CBR6 'zorst to their pea shooter pipe Laughing Laughing , one pulled up next to me ..... he only started revving t he tits off this ped!!!!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked
Well, satan took over &, well, I had to really didn't I?Twisted Evil gave him what he was obviously after & blipped the CBR a couple of times, after this they were just this side of taking down their pants & dragging each other around the road Laughing Laughing
Junbction by this time was clear, so I held back & let them burn me away (had no choice really as I was PISSING myself laffing by this point, as was the guy in the car behind, I caught his eye & just shrugged, "what was I to do" he was howling laffing as well.
Laughing Laughing Laughing

THEY WERE ONLY WAITING AROUND THE CORNER WAVING LIKE FUCK AT ME!!!!!!

bless 'em Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

i am on a 50 Embarassed and everytime a 600+ races past me i nearly crash due to concentrating on the bike more than the road, also i look like a right prick when the rider can clearly see me looking in amazment at his bike, oh well only 5months to go and i will hopefully be on one

Ped boys take the p#ss. They think that they own the roads.

We have a big gang of kids on peds and 50 geared bikes that used to think they were the fastest thing on the roads...

I've managed to convince them otherwise Laughing , compared to their peds, the NSR's a racebike Very Happy

I love watching them race downhill over the speed bumps and nearly falling off thinking they're good.

You've gotta like some ped kids. They do like the proper bikes. Last week i was warming up my bike, outside work ready to razz home. there was a couple of young scooter kids (who were just in the shop) waiting, watching for me to ride off. (they obviously liked the bike). So i razzed off, then as i stopped at the roundabout, they pulled along side, so we went for a little ride out through town, untill i hit the dual carridgeway and the left them... Smile

Some are safe. Some are dicks, depends on who you meet.

Btw i ride a ped also (my bro's), they are wicked. I would have loved to have one at 16...

Exactly, i was driving past a pub the otherday, (sensibly) as i don't think i'm great going along at 30ish and a crowd outside shouted "Get a real Bike" i thought to myself you stupid WANKER he doesn't even realise that the 'L' Plate means i can't and if i could don't you think i would be on one at the first chance i get?

I thought to myself "Get a GirlFriend you sad old Bastard".

so anyway yes most 'ped bois' including me are waiting to be bikers, in my opinion respect us as in 5 years time we will be you guys! Karma Thumbs Up Mr. Green Cool

I don't think people on peds believe they are the fastest thing on the road. They get reminded that they aren't everytime they get over taken in a 30 speed limit.

In my view 16 year olds are making the best out of a shit situation. Alot of the people on here started on a 50cc bike of some sort and I doubt any of them would say they went like shit off a shuvel Wink

On a different note, I raced a Nova off some lights the other day when I was on the speedfight 50. He didn't catch me up until I got to 50mph... Pretty sure he was trying too since he did a wheel spin off the lights.

It is surprising how quick some of these peds can leave the lights Shocked

I'm sure a lot of 16year olds but them 'cause there cheap and don't want to wait. At least some will get some road sense and good luck to them Karma

Well I could amaze a biker or few when I rode my MBK Stunt 50 in 2001, when I was 16/17.

There was one time (at band camp, sorry been watching american pie too much) that I had my scoot lean over so far I near enough had my knee down, I saw a rider on a GPX750R nearly fall off gob smacked coming the other way. Laughing

Is it possible to get your knee down on a 50 ped, a piaggio zip sp to be more precise, at least i will impress people if i did, i think i am not far off.

Infact i may go down to a local roundabout i know, which the only traffic i have ever seen there is bikers.

Used to be a crew down in Reading that believed whole heartedly in tuning the bejeebus out of their Vespas. I remember sitting at a set of lights (outside the old Purple Turtle/bus depot on the IDR for any of you from round there) and this incredibly scruffy looking contraption pulling up alongside myself (on a GPz900 at the time) and some besuited type in a porsche. This scooter was making an unearthly racket, and after a quick inspection I'd already decided the thing wasn't standard but even so... The car was revving slightly so I'd turned to the lad on the scoot and said words to the effect of 'Don't get caught in the smoke mate, I'll be taking off a bit fast', to which he smiled and nodded. Well, light goes to amber and the porsche and I were left for dust by this little 250(guesstimate)cc thing. It seemed to top out at about 50, but ye gods did it get there fast Shocked
Don't know anything about the modern breed of ped, but those old scooters can't have shift when tuned properly.

As for the quick acceleration, it is astonishing isn't it? The other day I was in Taunton stopped at traffic lights next to a Nova decked with c*nts in Burberry caps and they were revving their nova, so I gave my ped a lil rev, just to make them laugh of course, Wink . However as soon as they changed green I sped off and I must of had nearly 50 m on them by the time they started catching up! Smile
