After failing my theory in June last year I lost heart with getting my full test, but after seeing (and buying) the CBR400RR, I booked my theory again and proceeded to do absolutely no revision at all Laughing

45 on the Q&A and 61 for the Hazard Perception Thumbs Up I know it's by no means an exceptional score or massive achievement to pass, but its the first step and has made my week Smile

All I have to do now is book and pass my practical Smile Does anyone have any tips for the practical sections? If so I'm happy to accept any advice Smile Now I have a major itch to get everything done so I can use the CBR properly Very Happy

Yay!!!

I too failed my theory once already (didn't revise AT all, passed the hazard perception, failed the questions by a couple marks - damn braking distances). I should take it seriously and give it another go soon Smile

So congratulations, I'm jealous. Thumbs Up

For Mod 1... remember to do your obs on everything, it's easy to forget in the compound. On the avoidance come through the speed trap at a slight angle towards the cone, it lessens the 'swerve'.

For Mod 2... watch out for the speed signs and treat the examiner as a sat nav.

Most of all relax, enjoy it... Good Luck!

Buy a 125 ride on Ls for a few months, then get some instructor training then book in for your test.

have been on a 125 and L's since I turned 17 (am nearly 18 and a half now)

Today I booked my mod 1 with camrider, I did my CBT with them and got on with the instructors really well. It's costing me £586 altogether, but don't know if this is a rip off or not, still £586 is a hell of a lot, plus if I damage the bike I'll be left with a £500 excess Shocked.

I got a quote for the CBR's insurance (I made it so I just passed my test, but other than that everything is exactly as I need it) it came out as £321 tpf&t which isnt so bad considering it has 3 and a bit times the capacity of the CG

cheers rac3r, my mod 1 was changed from wednesday to today. to those of you who it interests, I passed today with a single minor for doing a lifesaver over the wrong shoulder, so overall I'm dead chuffed Smile

You said you already have a 125? So why are you renting a bike for your training? Smile

It seems you can save a lot of money by using your own bike or are there not many places that will do training without rental (Guessing you don't want to try and do it without training)

You'll be alright!
I nearly failed my theory because the girl behind me looked hot from behind so i had to have a glance when she stood up, unfortunately i missed a few hazards (or i just did shit anyway, passed by one mark).

Mod 1 is simple, just remember training and stay calm.

Mod 2 didn't seem that challenging to me, i had been riding for 2years on the road before my test but tbh it seemed like a cbt on a 125, just a bit harder. When they ask you to pull over and pull out again remember both indications.

Good luck and welldone on getting a cbr, i got one when i passed Smile
What year is it?
