Hi all, My name is Artur, I'm from Portugal, but I was born again yesterday, here in England Smile
My journey was:

- CBT passed first on 26th Oct'09
- 5 days DAS: Module1 passed first time on 23rd Nov'09
Module 2 passed first time on 30th Nov'09

On Mod1 the speed were 61mph on avoidance and 71mph on emergency stop.
On Mod2 got only 1 minor mark Smile

I said I was born again yesterday, just bought a Hornet 600...

Funny thing is, on the days I rode 500cc doing the DAS and yesterday when I rode home, it was pouring down, so I'm still to find out whats the feeling of riding a big bike on dry... :S

See you around here Smile

Welcome, and congrats on passing, It feels good to pass doesn't it. Very Happy

On your speeds on mod 1 did you mistake mph for kph?

Yep, it feels amazingly good. The ride back after passing mod2 it's great.

No, it is mhp :S and was raining!!
There's a reason why I did those speeds, first my desire to pass was huge, hehe, and second where I did my training they have a replica of the mod1 layout but much smaller and they never told us that it was smaller, so we got the right speeds in a smaller layout Smile when we arrived at the test centre we couldn't believe how big it was...

mph?! well done for managing to swerve at those speeds in that case then lol

where I took my module one would no way be big enough to get up to those speeds!

Wow, if you managed them speeds, you must be pretty good or the test centre was huge lol.

One of the moto gp guys did the mod 1 and only managed about 85 kmh.

The examiner that tested me in my centre holds the record of the swerve at 72mph however he didn't manage to stop.

No, my CBT instructor recommended me to hire a 125cc and just get road experience, which I found to be a very clever thing to do, but then time went by and never got bothered to do it, well mainly didn't want to spend an extra £120 roughly for a week. I just said to myself: "I have to pass first time!" You just have to concentrate really hard.
