I don't mean baseball cap or safety hat (or skid-lid of any kind) ... but a proper hat ... you know like a bowler hat, a panama, that kind of shiz!!! Thumbs Up

https://fc04.deviantart.net/fs50/f/2009/299/0/1/Tin_foil_hat___Updated_by_Mirz123.gif

If it is slightly unusual, then put a pic up of what you have/mean Thumbs Up

I have loads of hats. Below i am modelling the first 4 to come hand when i went to secret hat stash.

1. The sombrero - shamelessly stolen from the mexican restaurant where we had a works night out last year. I dont know how i made it back through town and on buses etc without getting kicking. I was sporting a fake tash and big bushy eyebrows at the time too!

https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g82/darthpalmer/001.jpg

2. The faux leather cowboy hat(complete with cowboy stare) - bought in turkey 2 years ago. I actually thought it was real leather for about half a day but then i was quite tipsy on the efes that day.

https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g82/darthpalmer/002.jpg

3. The Ushanka - is definately from russia and is way too toasty to be wearing in anything but the coldest winds ( i had to remove it last time i was in the Cairngorms snowboarding as i was too hot!) but i still want to get a more traditional/old school one at some point. Hate me if you will but i want one made of real animal!

https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g82/darthpalmer/003.jpg

4.The Santa - what can i say? Its nearly that time of year again. I am still wearing this one as i type Mr. Green

https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g82/darthpalmer/004.jpg

I like hats! Smile

When I was in Nam, alot of the guys used to cut ears of the dead VC and they used the ears as tropheys. I went one better. After we'd just entered a suspected VC village, I saw a fat old mamma san wobbling as she tried to run away through a rice paddy. So I shot her with my M16. I cut out her vagina and used it as hat. I still use it to this very day; it's my lucky hat.

Ain't war hell?

Then there's this hat.
Which we don't talk about.

(actually it was Anita's hat, I just had a "Benny Hill" moment and captured it for posterity, LOL)

I purchased a solar topee on a rather hot visit to the Crimea a few years ago and wore it and a lot of khaki to sports day at school. I walked around with a cane under my arm telling students to " Play up, play up and play the game" and " The British Empire was built on the playing fields of England".
There was a lot of confused Pakistani youth scratching their heads at me that day Mr. Green

I'd quite like one of them Kaiser Wilhelm helmets
https://www.kaisersbunker.com/pt/pt81.jpg

or one of them ones with the eagle on it
https://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/uncyclopedia/images/5/50/Kaiserhelm.jpg

Be kinda fun to drive around town in.

I currently have some "driving ears" ... black velvet cat ears on a headband, which I put on only for driving (but I don't have a picture) Mr. Green

Whenever out walking my dog, i always sport a flat cap.
I like to stand around by gates, touching the brim and muttering 'aye' and 'appen' and putting a 't' in front of as many words as possible:

Cowboy hat, bought it in Canada to keep the sun off me while I went off into the mountains on horseback and pretend to be a cowboy, now it just serves as a souvenir. Only hat I actually wear is a toque when out for a walk or at work in the cold.
