Question Does anyone know if there's a magazine similar to the car ones with used bike prices, model details, pros/cons, etc.?

I've looked in mags like Bike but the info is a bit too basic. I know there was the Used Bike Guide (UMG) but I think that went bust. I haven't seen anything else on the newsagent shelves. I just thought there should be something like the price guide mags for cars.

I'm pretty sure that in this months Ride or Bike mag there is a price guide booklet in there, might be worth the £3.50 for the mag.

Thumbs Up

Looked in bike trader, MCN etc. at used bikes. Problem is these give an idea of prices but no info on model changes, specs, problems, etc. Just wanted a little help to assess any bike I might be interested in.

Thanks for the offer of prices. Will take you up on it if I see anything in a dealer.

Point I'm trying to make is where do I find out about model details and their pros/cons? Manufacturer's tweek the bikes a little each year, sometimes it's a complete makeover. I've known people say they prefer an older model because the changes don't suit. Other times it's useful to know if it's worth avoiding a particular year (Hayabusa subframe snapping springs to mind).

The only thing to do is look up info on the specific models that you're looking for. Its a bit much to expect one magazine to cover information like that for a range of models.
