engine transfer

would it be possible to transfer a 250CC engine into the frame of my CBR125 thew onley reason for this is that i will be paying for another 21 months i was just wondering if it was possible and wich bike i should take it from btw the current if fuel injection if that matters ?

any thing is possible if you really want to do it,
you'll have to ditch the fi system
i would go for a xr/xl250 or cb250rs sohc engine
the cbf250 engine would be better as it has a single exhaust and electric start,
where the rs and xr have dual outlet, and kick start

a yamaha sr250 engine might fit the build,

bear in mind you'll need the whole loom cdi ect ect,
then fitting a physicallly larger engine will require a bit of effort re- the engine mounts,

it might be worth considering a smaller 2 stroke engine,
i would suggest a dirt bike engine but you'll have problems with the expansion chamber.


all in all, it would be far cheaper and easier to sell the cbr and buy a 250
