It's the only way to really wheelie a 2 stroke. I cant keep a steady wheelie on my TZR pit bike. The revs are too unsettled.

He was actually pretty good on that. To say he was on the back wheel around a couple of bends etc.

ive got friends with DTs and RX's that can do a lot lot better. yeah they vary the throttle, but that guys full on chopping the shit out of it.
try popping it up going around a corner. the bike near enough carrys on the same line.
