I still have 7 invites left I think. I have no one to use it with yet really, but I can see how much better it is than email by a long shot.

Essentially it's like a collaboration or project tool from what I can gather.

Everyone has a 'wave' address. Conversations / collaborations are called 'waves' You can start waves, join waves, invite people to waves etc.

Each wave has a history and people can comment, upload, download at each stage depending on what privileges you set.

Imagine you are a freelance designer. You start a wave for a new project you are working on and invite the client, some others from his company and some other designers. At each stage, you can upload the project and get comments in. Think you could set it up so that the client can't see the other designers comments etc. Then you have a nice (free) online space with everything tracked, all the files easy to access etc. Once it's done you can close it off. And in the future if you needed to look back on what you did (or if there was some kind of dispute) it's all there.




Would be interested in starting one and just messing about to see how it works, if anyone's up for it? Best way to learn something new is to experiment...

It mostly solves that problem of when you copy someone in on an email, and then you get two different emails in reply, both with important information, but now the information is separated and you might now even have to forward on the emails to the opposite parties.

Well, if someone has access to a wave then they simply contribute to it.
