They are very neutral to ride , no torque reaction, and the weight is fairly low down (the weight on the CBR feels higher than my old NTV).
However when you REALLY start to hustle the bike round corners you have to fight it because of the poor suspension.
If you can put a CBR600F I think the 1994 front end is a straight swap you are laughing as the dive on the forks is massively reduced the suspension is better and you have much better braking performance, though the std NTV front end is excellent for stoppies anyway.
Foot pegs are a bit awkward not being sports high or cruiser low somewhere in between, this might be a problem as I could grind them when riding fairly fast.
But clip ons? , the bros came with those I'm pretty sure no NTV came with clip ons, the 600 came with cast bar things while the NTV650 got less power (meaning bog all maintenance) and tube style bars.
Small blokes apparently crash them lots though, and the zorst collector box gets holed rather easily (so you just put VW mini chrome ends onto the down pipes where they connect to the exhaust). ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. Yeah I see what you mean by cast bar things, like this https://www.arnoldsat.com/honda/Honda_NTV_Revere.jpg
I call "clip-on" anything thats short separate bars each side, I know they're not true clip ons tho
Nice stainless steel zorst too which isnt at all corroded. Yeah I heard that CBR front ends are a common mod. |
